Merge Inbox and Sent Items into one folder?

Would like to see all of my email messages--those received and those sent--
in one folder filed according to date and time received. How can I merge the
Inbox and Sent Items folders?

Two ways. The brute-force way is to disable saving sent items in the Sent
Items folder and then creating an outgoing rule with no conditions that
moves a copy of the message to Inbox. With Outlook 2003, you can to create
a search folder that includes both Inbox and Sent Items.
