Default turing reading pane off on all folders

I feel kind of dumb asking this question but is there a way to turn off the
reading pane on all folders without having to do each one individualy?

I was also wondering the same thing on callapsing the groups too.

Thanks!

The easiest way is, I believe, to start Outlook with the /nopreview command
line switch.

Collapsing them or not showing them? If you collapse them, Outlook should
remember. Turn grouping off this way:

You can use these techniques for the reading pane as well, if you wish.

The /nopreview works great, but how do you get the change to stick? I close
outlook thinking the change would be permanent, but when I open it back up
it reverts back to the reading pane on.

Add the /nopreview switch to the shortcut you're using to start Outlook.
