Default Change/correct IMAP folder view behavior (always collapsed)

IMAP is a good protocol for road warriors that handle multiple accounts.
However, I am annoyed tht I have to use Outlook Express in my laptop instead
of Outlook.
That is because the IMAP implementation in Outlook defaults all my IMAP
accounts' folder starting off collapsed, forcing me to click on each one to
access the inbox, sent, junk, deleted folders contents.
Outlook express does not display this annoying behavior. All my accounts'
folder start off expanded by default, from session to session.
With one account it would be annoying. With more than one it becomes
unpractical.
I do like Outlook and was disappointed to see that the pre-release version
of Office 12 still exhibits this annoying characteristic.
Microsoft, please correct the folder view beahvior for IMAP account folders.
Enable Outlook to remember the previous session's folder view (collapsed or
expanded) and/or set up a menu option to the same end.
