Default External e-mail for out of office assistant

Hi,

I must be missing something obvious. We cannot get external e-mail to
function in conjunction the out of office assistant. The reply works fine
for internal e-mail. We are running Exchange 2003 standard with SP1 and
Outlook 2003. The server of course is Winodws 2003 Standard with SP1

I look forward to your assistance!

Thanks

I need to take a course in Exchange. What does et mean? I know some of the
basics of Exchange such as how to get it successfully setup in a domain.
But, I do not know the acronyms.

Once I know what et is and how to find it, I am sure that is the switch I
need to flip.

Thanks for your help!
