I keep getting the following error when creating a message in Outlook 2003:
"Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page. As a result, the page may not display correctly." I've gone into the Internet Options - Security tag - internet zone and changed several of my settings for ActiveX but I continue to get this error. Does anyone know how to fix it? |

Does anyone know how to fix it? The best way to fix it is to not try to include active content in messages. Another way is to change the web zone Outlook is using for mail. -- Brian Tillman |

Thanks! |

What mail editor are you using? -- Brian Tillman I'm using Word 2003 as my email editor in Outlook 2003. Is that what you mean? How do I change the settings for that? Thanks in advance. |

How to change Outlook to stop using Word as the editor or how to change Word so as to not include active content? The former is in Outlook on ToolsOptionsMail Format. If you mean the latter, and you have not included active content as far as you know, try deleting Normal.dot (in %AppData%\Microsoft\Templates) and letting Word recreate it. -- Brian Tillman |

I am also getting this message but when I go to Outlook 2003 and click on
"new" to write a new message, that's when it comes up. This just started happening suddenly. I've had this program for years and never received this message. If there is something in my security that needs to be disabled or enabled can you give me the exact place I should go to correct the problem. "C. Are you using Word or the Outlook editor to compose? -- Brian Tillman |
