While building a custom toolbar to link from Outlook 2003 SP2 to preformatted
Word templates, I cannot find the AutoText command.
Toolbar-Customize-Command-Autotext. This was shown in the "Quick sales
letters for e-mail or postal mail". Was this disabled during a security
update? Any method to re-enable it? Alternative method to merge contact
information with a preformated Word letter template?

Within the Customise dialog, Command there is no Insert Category selection.
A selection box below Categories is greyed out.

Suggestions?

I have solved the problem.

Thanks for your help. I would like see an add-in program where, from
contacts, a form letter can be launched and populated from Outlook. My
problem was that I was attempting to build the custom toolbar in Outlook
rather than Word.

Does anyone know of an add-in that will permit such a simple, single letter,
contact imerge function?

Have you looked at smart tags for inserting contact information? if you mean
a printed letter, use templates with merge fields and hyperlink it to a
button.
