quick background info:
i uninstalled update kb892843 on my win2k box using the cmd line based code fine. My co-workers computer also has windows 2000 on it and I re-did the same command but it did not uninstall properly (the problem I had with tasks and task request went away on my box but are still there on his) What I did notice is that it seems that his box had Windows ME on it and then was upgraded to windows 2k. Also the registry shows that he has office xp pro and also office sbe 2003 on his computer. I know portions of office xp pro are still there because he still uses access on it. So now is there something that is conflicting with the two installations of office on there? the upgrade on the OS? I've tried runnnig the code w/ the office xp guid as well but that did not do anything either. any ideas? thanks |
