Hi,

First of all, what is the type of account.
Secondly, when you try sending test emails, what are the error codes you
get? (Codes like 0x800)
Mostly, it could be something related to the server settings.
Re-check the account settings and try again.

Thanks,

Mittu

Hi,

On the account settings page, try going under Advanced SEttings Outgoing
Server Tab and select the option 'Outgoing server requires authentication'.

Apply the changes and try again.

Also, do make sure that the Outgoing server settings do match with your ISP
settings.

Thanks,

Mittu

Thanks for the reply Mittu.

When I go to the "e-mail account settings (pop 3)" page of outlook, the
settings I've entered seem to be all ok. The only one I'm not too sure about
is the "e-mail address" in the user information part. As I understand it when
you have a domain name your e-mail address is ,
so I've entered in that box.
The test account settings function passes all tests except "send test e-mail
message", and the error message just reads verify e-mail settings.
Sorry to be a pain, but this is so frustrating.
