Outlook 2007 needs shorter timeout on boot or skip check for LDAP
Unfortunately, our mail provider is not an exchagne server (yet). Our LDAP
provider typically does maintenance on weekends for extended periods. Outlook 2007 beta 2 exhibits what appears to be a hang on load and definitely too long of a time-out by default. I'd suggest backing that timeout down to like 10 seconds or less and then letting experienced users increase the LDAP connection time-out on his/her own if needed. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes.
