Default Custom forms

I had created a custom contact form and custom calendar form on my old PC.
That PC crashed, but I have it backed up. I need instructions on how to get
those custom forms working with MS Outlook 2002 on my new PC. I've copied
them over into the directory where the other ".oft" files are, and MSO will
recognize the customized forms in previously entered contacts and calendars,
bu will not open the customized forms for a new contact or calendar item. I
have instructions on how to design and publish a form, but I already have the
form designed and posted from it before. I just want to bring the
already-created custom form into the loop. How do I do that without starting
all over?

An .oft file is not a published form. It sounds from your description that you need to publish your forms, which you said you already know how to do.
