Default How do you transfer User Defined Task Fields/Columns in Outlook??

I've have a user that has just had a new computer. I transferred
their Outlook data from their old system to the new one. Everything
has transferred except the custom columns from Tasks and the
associated data he'd entered into the columns.

The user had a large amount of data held within the custom columns
he'd created and I need to get this data back for him.

Is there a file that holds this information? Presumably I can
transfer this file from the old system to the new one?

thanks in advance.

How did you transfer the data? If you used export/import, it's no wonder.
That process cannot handle custom data. There are third-party tools that can,
however, such as can be found at http://www.codetwo.com/ , and you can write
custom code to help as well. See
http://www.outlookcode.com/article.aspx?ID=23 .

That said, if your data is stored in a PST, then if you just transfer the PST
and connect it properly to the second Outlook instance, all the data should
transfer.

Was this a custom form? Did you publish the form, if so?

no - not a custom form. basically the user had created a number of
user-defined columns in Tasks.

I haven't done anything with custom fields. If you simply add those columns
back in, does the data show up?
