Default AutoArchive PST Location

Hi Folks - Seems like this topic has been bantered about some ..... I know
that Microsoft does not support PST's over a network. However, I'd like to
place our auto-archive files (archive.pst) on the network anyway. Since the
pst is accessed on a limited basis, I'm thinking that this solution will
work well with limited risks. Any thoughts on placing the archive pst file
on the network? Thanks for your feedback.

Michael

Default AutoArchive PST Location

I've done it in limited circumstances (archiving then disconnecting
immediately). This seemed to work OK for me. I think MS is concerned that a
network connection drop will damage the PST file... which it will, possibly
resulting in data loss. So, I'd stay away from network usage for frequently
accessed PSTs but it may work OK for infrequent access, especially if you
backup those PSTs so you can roll back quickly.
