How do I eliminate duplicate messages in Inbox upon receipt?

I have just migrated from Outlook Express to Outlook 2003. When a new message is downloaded, there is a duplicate of each in the Inbox. Is the option "Leave a copy of messages on the server" enabled that you find in the advanced settings in your POP3 account? If so, you should install SP2 for Office 2003 [1]. This behavior [2] has been fixed with SP2.
