My Outlook (IMO) 2000 Pst file grew to over 2 Gb, Outlook crashed, and
it told me to run the Inbox Repair Tool. I did, and it failed. I ran the MS utility PST2GB to reduce the size of the Pst file,... then ran Scanpst again,... it says it worked. Now, Outlook comes up with Most of the folders where they're supposed to be. Some of the folders have been renamed "Recovered Folder 8123", etc... but Most of my old folders are there. Regardless, the Pst file is still huge, and I Cannot either Export the emails Or Archive them... I'd like to start over with a clean Outlook Pst file, and then Import some of the old emails. When I tried to Export only One small directory (only 9751 Kb) to a Pst file, it said "Some of the items couldn't be copied. They were either moved or deleted, or access was denied". When I tried to Archive them, it gave a very similar reply. I ran Scanpst on the whole file again, it said there were no errors. Any suggestions as to What I can try next, Gurus? Thanks very much for your help. |

Have you tried creating a new .PST file and with both files open in Outlook,
simply dragging and dropping items from the old one to the new? -- Jocelyn Fiorello MVP - Outlook *** Messages sent to my e-mail address will NOT be answered -- please reply only to the newsgroup to preserve the message thread. *** " wrote: My Outlook (IMO) 2000 Pst file grew to over 2 Gb, Outlook crashed, and it told me to run the Inbox Repair Tool.
