we want to create a public folder (ex 03) for company contacts that has sub
folders and can be used in outlook 07 If we put top level "shared_contacts" as an address book and then create sub folders OL 07 can't see or search the sub folders automatically Also not all permissions seem inherited. Is there some resource that can help me troubleshoot, or am I missing something obvious? Frank |

You can't search public folder subfolders all at once, you need to do it one
folder at a time. You'll also need to add each PF to outlook as a separate address book. FWIW, rather than making a bunch of folders, use a single folder and custom views on the folder. This may make it easier to use the folder as an address book and search it, while making it easy to filter the folder as needed. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com.
