Default Rules not being disabled even when deleted

I have Outlook 2002 (Windows XP Pro). I created a rule that would delay
sending of any email by 1 minute [in case I remembered to add something].
However, I've unchecked the box to disable and have now deleted the rule,
and it is still causing mail to be delayed.

There are no macros installed and no VBA code. Does anyone have any
suggestions? Is there anywhere in the PST file that I could edit this
behavior? Thanks for your help!

-Kevin

Thanks for the suggestion! It seems that the /cleanrules switch is only
available to OL 2003 and up. I can't seem to find anything concerning OL
2002 and a /cleanrules switch. On MS's website, I only found these
switches: http://support.microsoft.com/?id=296192

I found the switch /safe at that link. I was hoping that maybe that rule
would show up in "safe mode"; however, it did not.

I tried deleting all the rules after exporting them. With no rules in the
rules wizard, as I expected, it still delayed the sending by 1 minute.

Thanks for the suggestion though. It led me to try some other things. Any
other suggestions?

AFAIK cleanrules is valid for all versions- just try it and see if it
works.

That KB article is for additional switches- ones not listed in the Help
files.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I did, in fact, try that. Always forgetting
the obvious. :-)

I tried the /cleanrules switch and the /cleanclientrules switch. Neither
worked.

you might need outlookspy to delete the rules. The basic instructions are
he http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/fix_junk.htm - but you'll need to
find the rule that needs deleted.
