Deleting individual mail items from Outlook 2007 archive
Why is it taking 10 seconds to delete each mail from my Outlook 2007 archive
folder? I may have over 500 to delete but need to examine each one before deleting. Even after it is displayed in the preview window it takes 10 seconds to delete before I can go on to the next one. These do not have any attachments. regards, Beemer

is the archive stored on your hard drive? How large is the archive?

Stored locally. I am suspecting that Windows Desktop Search may be the contributing to the delay. Interesting though as when I tried Shift Delete it was much faster. yes, shift+del skips the deleted items folder. Is the deleted folder empty?
