Default Cannot open messages sent to multiple recipients Vista & Outlook 2007

Hi,
if i get sent a message which is addressed to multiple recipients, i cannot
open the main body of the message.
If i double click the message while it's in my inbox, that message opens,
but then i just see a list of recipients, and in the header row i see an
icon called message, and then a 2nd icon with the title of the message i
have been sent. I'm guessing this is a message within a message.
If i right click the message (s) in the header, i get the warning that
outlook was unable to preview the message.

Has anyone come across this? if so how do you fix it.

So far i have disabled my anti virus (Avast), entered the domains sending me
the messages into the allowed recipients in the junk mail settings, but i'm
guessing there is a security feature some when in outlook 2007 which is
blocking this type of message being opened.

Cheers

Either uninstall Google Desktop Search or disable its indexing of Outlook items.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

After furious head scratching, Fred asked:
