I have Vista on a Toshiba and have installed Office 2003, all worked OK
until Outlook suddenly stopped sending and receiving emails and comes up with an error code: 0x80042108, I have turned off my virus software, reinstalled all my email settings and even reinstalled office 2003, no luck, I have now upgraded to office 2007 and still it will not work, but I can get emails OK on other programs like Mozilla or windows mail? Has anyone had this problem and been able to overcome it? I would like to go back to using Outlook. Regards, Allen Carlon |

Are you perhaps using Norton Internet Security or some other suite? Check
your COMs and Add Ins for any integration into Outlook. Not just antivirus but even anti-spam. -- Kathleen Orland - MVP Outlook Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ http://www.howto-outlook.com/ "Allen Carlon" wrote: I have Vista on a Toshiba and have installed Office 2003, all worked OK until Outlook suddenly stopped sending and receiving emails and comes up with an error code: 0x80042108, I have turned off my virus software, reinstalled all my email settings and even reinstalled office 2003, no luck, I have now upgraded to office 2007 and still it will not work, but I can get emails OK on other programs like Mozilla or windows mail? It's comes each time after installing Outlook updates from the Microsoft, which I've got it yesturday. Every time I do the same thing - I'm uninsalling it, and prohibit this update. Everything works after that. Seems like Microsoft guys release not well tested upgrades for Outlook. I didn't found any meaningful explanation/fix for this bug in Internet ;( Regards, Oleg. |
