Outlook will import only those contacts in the Main Identity folder. You'll have to move things around while importing if you wish to reconstruct the contact hierarchy. For example, move your Main Identity contacts to a temporary subfolder. Copy the desired subfolder contacts to the Main Identity folder. Import them into Outlook. Create a contacts subfolder in Outlook and move the just-imported contacts to it. Proceed to the next Windows Address Book subdirectory, deleting what's in the Main Identity folder and copying another subdirectory's contacts to it. Import that into Outlook and move to another Outlook contacts subfolder. Continue until all the WAB subfolders are done. Now, empty the Main Identity folder one more time and move back to it those contacts you moved temporarily when you began. Import those into Outlook and they can remain in the main Contacts folder. When you're done, your contacts hierarchy in Outlook should match the WAB hierarchy. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
