Using SBS 2003 SP1, with Outlook 2007.
We use the Help Desk instance that Sharepoint exposes to manage tasks. Rather than keep a separate browser window open on the desktop I have created a folder in Outlook and then set the Home Page in Properties for the folder to be the URL of the sharepoint page. I've set it to show the home page by default for the folder. This folder is called "Sharepoint Tasks". That works great - lets me keep the information to hand without having to have another application open, and keeps it with the source of all my other information. BUT (there's always one of these) when I click on a link on the sharepoint page I get an error message similar to: Invalid page URL: outlook%3A%5FStore%2FSharepoint%25230Tasks (outlook | Store | Sharepoint Tasks) but when I dismiss the message it the follows the links. So I guess that the questions a Can I avoid getting the "Invalid URL" message? Is there another way of achieving the same thing? Am I just expecting too much from Outlook? Thanks in advance |

No, it is only a web link enbedded in the Home Page of the folder in the
mail folders. I wonder if this is related to the target="_self" that is embedded in the link tag for th link: it does not do it on all links, nor does it do it if I navigate away from the orginial page. With the Original page, the page address is outlook:_Store/Sharepoint_Tasks, which is the URL that is invalid... So how can I force Outlook to use a sensible page address, or how can I link the tasks to Outlook? Thanks in advance "Diane Poremsky" wrote in message ... did you also link the tasks to outlook as task items? -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] "Robin Wenham" None wrote in message ...
