Default Outlook 2007 Error Message

Receiving the following message: A data file did not close properly the last
time i was used and is being checked for problems. Performance might be
affected while the check is in place. It's been a couple hours and the system
will not let me open Outlook even in Safe Mode? Any suggestions for this
problem. It is very annoying. Although I am able to check my email online.
