Outlook 2003 shortcuts do not work
I have created Outlook shortcuts from the Outlook icon under StartAll
ProgramsMicrosoft OfficeOutlook 2003 and outlook.exe found in Program Files. When these shortcuts are on the desktop and I click on them, they turn gray and nothing happens. Clicking on the icons that the shortcuts were created from Outlook opens just fine. Will a reinstall fix this problem or is something else wrong? Thanks... |

I just tried two different shortcuts while diagnosing the problem. The target is Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003. |

If I make the shortcut in C:\...Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOffice 11Outlook.exe it is: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\OUTLOOK.EXE". Neither one do anything. If I do not use a shortcut, both work fine. It's the shortcut that has no affect. |

Well, I can't think of what this might be without looking at your PC, but if you have something that works, copy and replace the ones that don't work. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |

I think I'll try a repair and then if that fails, I'll uninstall/reinstall. |
