Default contacts purge

My list of contacts (Outlook 2003) is largely out of date. Is it possible to
rename it so I can start over, i.e. begin a new list and then over time
transfer the good items from the old list to the new?

Create a new contacts folder (FileNewFolder) and move the contents of your
current Contacts folder to the new one. (CTRL-A to select everything,
EditMove to Folder [or drag-and-drop] to move the selection.) The start
populating the Contacts folder again.
