I want to change the location of my PST file. I know that if I move it to a
new location that when I then open up Outlook 2007 w/bcm that Outlook will not find the PST and will ask me and I can browse to its new location. I seem to remember reading something in a posting that this is the wrong way and that this cause some problems. Please advise if the above method is not the correct method and therefore what is the correct way to relocate the PST file -- Neil |

The other method is to open the profile using control panel, mail and change
the location before reopening outlook. I don't know that this is all that better than the other - it sometimes eliminates problems with the address book. The best way is to make a new profile pointing to the relocated pst before ever reopening outlook. But that's a PITA and you lose some customizations. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "Remove ABCD from Email address to reply" wrote in message ...
