Default Outlook 2007, default inbox

Is there a way to get my Outlook 2007 to make another mail inbox the
default? I have a Hotmail account that I check with Outlook and I'd like to
make that inbox my default folder. Can this be done?

Now to stretch it a bit, is there a way to view this inbox and calendar on
the same page with a split view? It would be awesome if this split view
would load when I boot my computer.

I haven't had the new program long enough to look yet, but can instant
messenger be set up to use with Outlook too?

Thanks,

D.Hud

Actually what I should have said was I want it to display the contents of my
Hotmail inbox every time it sends and receives mail. Is that possible?

Only when you purchase Hotmail Premium and use Outlook Live can the Hotmail
folders be made the default.

No.
