I can not seem to figure out how get rid of Outlook Express 6 no matter what
I do. When ever I try to reply or anything except using New Mail the old Outlook Express 6 starts up instead of the using my office 2007 outlook program. I even went into the Control Panel to uninstall it but it dose not show up in the program list. I tried to rename the folder Oulook Express but the computer would not let me (it said the program was in use???). I renamed msimn.exe to oldmsimn.exe and it made no difference. I'm sure that there must be an easy way to do it but I do not seem to be able to figure it out. Could anyone please help me? Thank You -- Rvtime |

First, reverse your renaming. Second, Outlook Express is a part of Internet
Explorer and shouldn't be removed. Third, change the default settings in your browsers. Do this for all browsers that you may use. Tools | Internet Options | Programs tab Then make the desired changes. In case you can't find the menu bar, right click on an open area on the tool bar and click on Menu bar. Dear Chuck,
I did everything you said. I then gave up & upgraded to IE7. When I go to Tools/Options/Programs I find: HTML Editor: Microsoft Office FrontPage E-mail: Microsoft Office Outlook Newsgroups: Outlook Express - Don't Want but can't change Internet Call: NetMeeting - Don't Use Calendar: Contact List: Default web Browser (the only one I use) Manage add-0ns ???????? -- Rvtime "Chuck Davis" wrote: First, reverse your renaming.
