Hi all,
I just upgraded to Vista from XPSP2 and have had Outlook 2002 installed the whole time. Outlook 2002 forgot the 27 email account passwords so now if I enter them and dont exit Outlook 2002 they remain remembered. If I do exit Outlook 2002 and come back in they are forgotten. Can anyone help with a fix for this please? Thanks. |

Vista replaced the protected storage registry entry, which is why they were
deleted in the upgrade. they should be remembered now though. I would start with a detect and repair and recreate the accounts if D&R fails. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "Diamontina Cocktail" wrote in message ... Attempt to uninstall Outlook 2002 and use a repair function you mean? |

Sorry! Found it!
Now you wouldnt happen to know why Outlook 2002 wont sync with my Ipaq HX2190 would you? Activesync seems to be disabled by Vista and the Sync Centre wont find the PDA. Thanks for any help. Thanks for that but I do have that and Mobile Device Center is garbage. I
normally bluetooth sync my data but when Mobile Device Center wouldnt find my PDA, I resorted to cable. It will NOT find my HP Ipaq HX2190 at all no matter what. At least Activesync worked. This latest garbage just doesnt. "Hal Hostetler [MVP P/I]" wrote in message ... Has anyone found the solution for this? I've tried everything I can find on
it and nothing has worked yet. Removed the key, detect and repair, uninstalling, reapplying service packs. Nothing has worked for me yet. Yep I found a solution. I bought Outlook 2007. I do believe (note that they
may change their minds at a later date but this is the case for right now) that MS wont be fixing it as it is a product out of its support cycle. BTW, Outlook 2007 IS a brilliant program. Takes a little getting used to with "The Ribbon" but well worth it. "racecase" wrote in message ... Has anyone found the solution for this? Just got done reading something that agree's with you. So, I'm on my way to
buy a new office program! Wish I would have known this before I bought Ultimate. Who am I kidding... it wouldn't have made any difference. Thanks for you help!
