Default Send/Receive on startup

I'm sure the answer is staring me in the face but I can't find it. I had
Outlook setup to send and receive mail when the program opens. I just
reinstalled onto a new computer and I can not for the life of me, find where
that option was. I found the option to set a time interval to check and an
option to send/receive on exit but not on open? Where is it???

I am using Outlook 2003... Tools|Options|Mail Setup tab

Send/Receive has an option to "Send immediately when connected" which is
checked but does not do as I hoped. Click on the Send/Receive button to open
the next menu. Here there is an option for "Perform an automatic
send/receive when exiting" but not for opening.

By setting a send/receive interval you tell Outlook to perform a
send/receive on startup as well.

That did the trick. I thought I remembered clicking an option that said
check mail on startup but I must not have. I do know that I had Outlook set
to check for mail periodically.
thanks
