Default Window appears asking for Hotmail password. Can't get emails

I have tried installing and re-installing Outlook 2003 several times to set
up and access emails and send emails through Hotmail. I cannot receive or
send emails as it always just goes into a never-ending loop asking for my
Hotmail password. I enter the password, but it does not accept it but the
box keeps reappearing.

I do have a 'old' Hotmail account(free). However I'm not sure that this is
the problem. I was using outlook just a few weeks ago at work (different
computer) and it connected to Hotmail with no issues. Also, I use windows
to delete the application and manually delete all .pst files. When I
reinstall Outlook all my contact / calendar info is still there.

Are you using a premium (paid) Hotmail account, or is your hotmail account
several years old and grandfathered? If neither is the case, you won't be
able to connect to it with Outlook (or Outlook Express or Thunderbird or
whatever). MS discontinued this kind of support on the free accounts a few
years ago.

Verify the password with the Hotmail web client. Write it in Notepad, then
copy and paste it into the Hotmail login. When it's accepted, paste it
into the Outlook -provided login. However, as noted, if you're using a
free Hotmail account you probably can't do this.
