Default Search not finding anything in outlook 2007

I have been trying out the new office 2007 Pro for a week.

Today in Outlook I tried the search. When I typed out a word that I know
existed in an email search still could not find anything?

IE: I have a folder called "saved" where I keep all my saved stuff. If in
the search box I type something I know what is there search cannot find
it???

"Am I doing anything wrong"?

I did originally post this in the office.misc group and as per the reply I
got from it checked my settings. The settings seemed alright, but I still
can not get the results I need.

Have you installed it on Windows Vista or Windows XP? In the case of Windows
XP did you also install Windows Desktop Search (Vista comes with this
already)?
Also note that Windows Desktop Search needs some time to index. Leaving your
computer on overnight should do the job.

Thanks for the reply Robert.

I have installed Office 2007 on a windows vista RC2 , build 5744 system.
I am pretty sure the indexing has been done.

At the moment I have set my computer to go to sleep after one and a half
hours, but I shall change the setting just for tonight just to see if the
indexing needs a bit more time?

.... Just another quick question. How often is the contents in Outlook 2007
re-indexed?

Office 2007 RTM is incompatible with that release of Windows Vista. You'll
indeed find WDS broken then. Contents are put into the re-index queue when
it changes or when WDS decides to re-index it again. The last one heavily
depends on how many items you have indexed.
