OL 2002 XP3
Win XP HE *follow-up to: microsoft.public.outlook* hi, i have created a new profile which uses the same pst file as my old/original one. i want to switch back to the old/original one but am concerned that if i only just switch without removing or "disconnecting" the pst file from the newer profile, the rules will break, etc. any advice? tx. |

1) it took a while to get an answer on that 1 question and thought the
thread had been dropped. posted this one before receiving ur reply. 2) i am trying to get feedback from more than 1 person 3) i believe the ms newsgroups are top posting -- Brian Tillman wrote: stef wrote: i want to switch back to the old/original one but am concerned that if i only just switch without removing or "disconnecting" the pst file from the newer profile, the rules will break, etc. You've already asked this question and were answered. |

I doubt there are rules governing how you wish to post. I prefer bottom posting or interspersing my comments as I have in this post. It preserves context a heck of a lot better than top posting. -- Brian Tillman |

Brian,
i completely agree with you on bottom posting. it just makes more sense. not that it's important to me at all, but i remember reading somewhere that the MS newsgroups are indeed top posting. or maybe i just got told in these newsgroups, can't remember..... the other issue, i just have serious problems with OL right now which is affecting my work, thus the "time if of the essence " thing. tx. in any event. -- Brian Tillman wrote: stef wrote: 1) it took a while to get an answer on that 1 question and thought the thread had been dropped. posted this one before receiving ur reply. 2) i am trying to get feedback from more than 1 person Fair enough, but it's not unreasonable to wait 24-36 hours for an answer before posting again. 3) i believe the ms newsgroups are top posting What makes you say that?
