Please can anyone help?
I have a xmas card list of contact and addresses in Outlook XP (came with PDA) that I want to mail merge with Word 2000. Only those names with email addresses appear in the data list. Do I really have to enter dummy email addresses for the rest to appear? Steve -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am using the free version of SPAMfighter for private users. It has removed 12151 spam emails to date. AFAIK, you can't even use mail merge from Outlook unless the version of Word matches the version of Outlook. |

No. You need to do a lot more than that. You need your Outlook and Word
versions to match. So far your message refers to Word 2000, Outlook 2002, and Outlook 2003. I see no matches here. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Steve L" wrote in message ... Thanks for replies
I can mailmerge from Outlook 2002 to Word 2000 by Collecting recipients in a new contact folder Setting folder properties to Show This Folder as an Email Address Book then create a new document in word and following the mail merge helper Everything works out OK but I have to have a (dummy) email address for each recipient in the contact file. Hope it keeps working that way. It's a tenuous workaround at best since mail
merges between versions are not supported. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Steve L" wrote in message ...
