Default Default behaviour in Contacts list

Hi,

I have an odd one regarding the default return from double clicking on a
contact. I maintain a contacts list used by various people in my company. I
update this list several times a year.

One of my users complained that double-clicking on a contact name no longer
opens a new email message to the contact but instead opens ther full conact
record. She's right.

Is there any way to force this (new message) as the default action for a
contact list. I can't see anything in the way I'm creating the list that
could influence it & odd changes seem to make no difference si I thought I'd
ask you guys.

TIA,

Pete
