How do you find and subscribe to other newsgroups besides
msnews.microsoft.com. That's the only one listed in my Outlook Express but
there have to be other ones out there. Where's a list of these discussion
groups and how do you subscribe? e.g. Sun Microsystems, specifically java
problems

Your ISP may supply an NNTP server and you can ask them about it. If not,
there are free NNTP servers available that Google will find for you. You
can also use http://groups.google.com/

That isn't a newsgroup - it's an NNTP server, which hosts the Microsoft
public newsgroups.

Yes - as Brian suggested, see whether your ISP has an NNTP server for you to
use. You can add it as another NNTP server/news account in your newsreader.

Note that Outlook isn't a newsreader, so this isn't the best group for your
question....

Once you've set up your news account, you can search/browse the newsgroup
names.

You might also try google groups....easier for searching.
