Hi All I am having a problem sending files by right clicking and send to mail
recipient the file loads in an out going email box but won't send. I have noticed that if I save the email first I then find it in my inbox and am able to just click send and it sends fine. I never had this problem with outlook express any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks John |

Have you set up Outlook as your default email program in Internet Options,
Programs? Can you use Outlook to send and receive mail? It sounds like you never set up automatic mail polling in Outlook. Set it up in OL, Tools, Options, Mail Setup, Send Receive button. Set it to no less than every 10 minutes or it won't work. Hi Mary I have checked all the settings you suggested they are all ok. Yes
I can send and receive mail using outlook I have no problem receiving or forwarding emails with attachments I just can't send attachments to an email recipient. The only way to send them is to open a new email and click on attach a file. I also have a laptop that I installed office 2003 on and I am having the same problem. Do you mean that the compose window stays on the screen and doesn't close? Do you mean the compose window closes, the item appears in Outbox, but never leaves Outbox? DO you mean the item appears in Sent Items but the recipient never gets it? Please be specific when giving symptoms. -- Brian Tillman |

Hi Brian yes the compose window stays on the screen after clicking on send
and is not sent. For some reason I have to click on the save button to the right of the send button and then close the compose window by clicking on the red x top right corner of the screen if I don't do these steps I can't do anything. The email then shows up in my inbox even though I didn't send it to myself but when I open the email from the inbox I can then click send and it goes to the intended person no problem and I am not forwarding it to send it . I hope this helps. Then I'd try a new mail profile. -- Brian Tillman |
