Hello,
We use both outlook 2000 and 2003, with exchange 2003. I want to setup a romaing profile for outlook settings for my users, so that whicever PC they log in to will have same setting, and I don't have to manage PC by PC. Never created a romaing profile, and new to this. Can anyone help me with this with an example? Thanks for the help MC |

There seem to be many issues with romaing profiles with O2000. Only few thing I want it to roam, users signature rules, PST archive path, for archiving MC "Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook]" wrote in message ... http://www.slipstick.com/exs/olroam.htm -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. CAMC1 typed: Ouch! There seem to be many issues with romaing profiles with O2000. I would recommend getting everyone on identical *everything* if you want to use roaming profiles. OS, and all apps. If you have E2003 you ought to have licenses for all your users to run OL2003 - and you ought to move on that, as it's so much better anyway. Only few thing I want it to roam, users signature Yep. rules, Yep. PST archive path, for archiving Nope. The PST files are in a folder that will not roam. Don't use autoarchive to PST anyway.....if the data is important, it belongs on the Exchange server. PST files must be located on the workstation's local hard drive(s) ...and PST files stink when you have better options.
