BUT can anyone now tell me how to get back my address book and all my contacts ? Where are they; and how can I back them up onto a Flash Drive ? USB. Thank You ! |

The locations for the files Outlook uses are listed he http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm . Backup and restore methodologies are listed he http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/backupandrestore.htm . You can certainly back the data files up to a flash drive. Detect and Repair should not affect your data, but it's always safe to back up. -- Brian Tillman |

Thank You !
I'll give it a shot for backing-up whatever is left that I can find. I did a search for "*.pst" and got nothing at all; but I understand that this type of file remains a "Hidden File". Will they Back-Up to my Flash Drive without my doing anything to them such as "Un-Hiding" them ??? Thanks Again ! Since nothing on your flash drive will be hidden unless you set the Hidden attribute, once you put the data file(s) on your flash drive, you'll be able to see them whenever you open the drive. If you want to see hidden files, click StartControl PanelAppearances and ThemesFilder OptionsView and check the option to show hidden files and folders. Were it I, I'd also uncheck the box labeled "Hide extensions of known file types". -- Brian Tillman |
