Default Newsreader links don't work after replacing antivirus/firewall software

I use Outlook2002 and it uses OE6 as its news reader. Since I installed
McAfee Internet Security Suite 2006 8.0, nothing happens when I click a link
on a news post. Links work fine when they are within an email.
