If I'm making a list for an email I hit enter after each line. If I cc
myself I can see that the received email has all the line breaks removed and the part or all of the lists are concatenated. The only way I can see to stop this is to use double spacing. (I do not use HTML in mail) Beemer |

What version of Outlook? Some versions have the option to remove extra line
breaks and also restore them. -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without reading. After furious head scratching, Beemer asked: | If I'm making a list for an email I hit enter after each line. In what format are you composing the message? You say it's not HTML, but you don't say what it is. -- Brian Tillman |

I would have thought it meant where there were blank lines and not that it would do anything to "split lines" which my lists are. Beemer |

Since in your reply to Milly you say your problem was solved by altering the option to remove extra line breaks, I won't be pursuing it any more, but I don't see why that setting would have produced what you saw. Oh, well. It's academic now. -- Brian Tillman |

I'm wondering if the problem depends on the Outlook settings of the person who replies to me such that it is their system which strips out all manual line breaks? Other strange similar problem I have had is where I edit and already composed email. If I have used manual line breaks then later join up the split line using the delete key, I see when I get a reply that my email still had lines ending where the original breaks were. The can result in seeing the following in my part of their reply: The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog Beemer |
