Default Outlook and multiple users on multiple PC's

I have a question concerning Outlook. I work in a small office where we
use Outlook with a company web-based account at Verizon.net. We only
use one email account as "customer service", but would like to have
everyone in the office to have access to the account and be able to see
emails that come in, go out, that are read.....etc. by all that access
the account, so that we can all see what has taken place by anyone in
our office. Currently, outlook resides on several PC at each employees
desk, which is preventing us from see if another employee has read,
reply or whatever. We do have our own in house server and I'm
wondering if this might be solved by having Outlook reside on the
server? Can anyone give me some advise on how to go about resolving
this issue, if in fact it can be resolved?

Thanks,
Tom

I'd think you'd need an Exchange Server and Public Folders for what you'd
want to work.
