I am trying to sync outlook to my phone. I just got the motorola backflip so
I am new to everything. When syncing, my phone asked for the server address
and I can not find it anywhere...

You posted to an Outlook group. Sync issues are never Outlook issues.
Your post should have been directed to whomever supports your phone. It does
not belong here.

The server address would depend on who is hosting your email.

For example...If you had gmail, it could be mail.gmail.com...or for yahoo....
mail.yahoo.com.

It all depends on who you use for email.

False. Sync operations with Outlook would never involve the mail server.
Motorola needs to instruct the OP on whether it even supports syncing with
Outlook and if so, how.

You should be asking he https://supportforums.motorola.com/ or he
http://www.backflipforums.com/

From what I read there, the Backflip has no ability to sync with Outlook. It
syncs directly with the mail server.
