Default Faxes from Outlook 2002 not using dialing rules

I'm having exactly the same problem using Outlook 2003, Win XP Pro
(latest MS updates). There is a discussion about the account the Fax
service logs in under not having access to the dialing rules of the
currently logged in user - but it doesn't really make much sense if
Word can interpret the rules properly. Here is that discussion but if
anyone has a solution please post.

*Scott and/or Russ,

I have experienced the exactly the same issues described in this
thread with Outlook 2003 SP1 running on XP Home. I've sent faxes
directly from Outlook using the canonical format as described below.
I also printed to the Fax driver from Word and chose an address from
Outlook using the same number format. Was a cause/resolution ever
found for this issue?

Thanks,

Greg - *

State which "exact same problem" you are having. It is completely unclear
from your post.
