Well......it took a while and it was a chance remark on the
Eternal-September support ng, but I have finally figured it out.......and sorted it out. I had this OE set up for so long that I forgot it was "Sync All" that I had on the Toolbar (upper bar)......and used that to download everything at once. I had customized it a looonnngggg time ago. Old age is such fun (not)......totally forgot that, what with lightning strikes, surges, hard drive crashing and all the fun I went thru since July. So if anyone asks, you can tell them to use that Custom Icon and I shall pretend I am not me. (G) And will go shopping tomorrow for a new clue or two. Cheers....Anonymous |

Aha! ; ) Subject: News Server Problem Date: Tue, 1 Dec 2009 17:43:04 -0500 quote Probably what she wants is Ctrl-Shift-M (Synchronize All.) /quote And in order to make use of that you also have to set your newsgroups' synchronization criterion to something other than Don't Synchronize (the default.) So I suspect you also have all your newsgroups set with (at least): Synchronization Settings: Headers Only? ; } Robert --- |

I shall try your method. A woman? on the E-S group uses Tools/Synchronize All. That is what clued me in......sigh. And now PA Bear will do a few blonde jokes.....it is to be expected, grin.
