![]() winxp sp3, ie7, oe6 If I want to print just a part of an email, I select the text I want to print, click file, print, selection, print, and the desired text prints. This work on most emails whether they are sent in plain text or HTML format. However this does not work on a few HTML formatted emails that I receive. When I select the text and do the file/print routine, the selection button is gray and I have to print the entire message. If I go to tools, options, read, and select "read all messages in plain text" then the print selection works. Why does this happen for only a few HTML emails? Is there a way to fix it? David |

I can only guess that there is something about the specific HTML that
causes a problem. For a workaround you could copy/paste the desired text into MS Word and print from there. Other than security updates, Microsoft is no longer fixing anything in OE. Hasn't for years. -- Mike - http://TechHelp.Santovec.us "David" wrote in message ... winxp sp3, ie7, oe6 If I want to print just a part of an email, I select the text I want to print, click file, print, selection, print, and the desired text prints. Thanks, I have done that as well. I was hoping that there was some setting
or trick that would make it work. David "Michael Santovec" wrote in message ... I can only guess that there is something about the specific HTML that causes a problem. You're receiving something "in total" i.e. non editable in OE. Picture Screen
Capture or a .jpg file. If you know the sender, ask what the format was. -- I mastered Wordstar graphics! "David" wrote: Thanks, I have done that as well. I do not know about the file type you are receiving but I have had 100%
copy/print with Gadwin printscreen 4.4. Works for text and pictures. Since its free--try it.
