May that stuck CapsLock key is causing the problem? (Posting in all-caps is
considered SHOUTING!)

Or perhaps that fact that you're a Qwest subscriber, not a Verizon
subscriber, (or that you're currently connecting via Qwest) has something to
do with it?

From your headers: NNTP-Posting-Host: 216-206-49-251.dia.static.qwest.net
216.206.49.251

That IP points to BCN Telecom (http://www.bcntele.com/).

You often SCREAM at the folks from whom you are asking for help?
(all caps = screaming)

Sorry, no one here is standing behind your shoulder to see the
non-detailed "messup" to which you are pointing.

To the left of the [A] key on your keyboard is a critical key labeled, "Caps

Assuming Verizon allows access from a Qwest connection, Verizon news service
only provides access to a few newsgroups which are part of what is called,
"The Big 8". If you are trying to get to 'alt.*' groups, Verizon doesn't
have them.
