Need more info. What type of file are you trying to print by extension?
Have you tried saving the problem file to a location on your hard drive and then tried to print from there? Have you asked the question in a newsgroup or support forum for HP printers? If not, why not? You also state an error message is generated. What is the complete and exact text of the error message? Have you looked in the Event Log for further information about the error? (Right click My Computer, select Manage and look at the Event Viewer.) -- Jim Pickering, MVP, Outlook Express https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...8-1171988A62D6 Please deliver feedback to the newsgroup, so that others can be helped. Thanks, Bill W Why is the error message a secret? The fix for this problem is often to go to Start | Run and type regsr32 ole32.dll and press Enter. Why this is the fix is a mystery. I suspect that it is caused by some piece of spyware or adware or maybe the removal of same, just like the removal of some spyware breaks the Winsock stack and people have to use LSPFix (http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm) to fix it. (For the latter WinXP SP2 users only have to run netsh winsock reset from a Cmd window. See also http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#12 -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE Please respond in Newsgroup. The ole32 re-registration won' t work in this instance, as he says IE and OE
problems. That's only when its an OE problem exclusively. steve "Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE" wrote in message ...
