Whenever I combine/ decode video files, such as avi or wmv, there are
sometimes individual parts missing. The file still gets combined, but of course either won't play or just play up to the missing part and quit. Is there a free utility that will bypass the missing part(s) and still allow the video to be intact? Thanks, JB |

The encoding in email adds 33 1/3% to the file size of video files.
There are more efficient ways to transfer video files. -- Ronald Sommer "Jim Bumgardner" wrote in message news:BcUZj.62$QW.23@trndny04... Look at these:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...ditor+avi+free You might also look into using another news server with a more reliable news feed. But that may cost you money. It's also possible to combine and decode from multiple news servers. What you need to do is copy the message parts you find to Local Folder in OE. Then look on another news server and see if the it has the missing parts and copy those to the same folder. Once you get all the parts, you can combine and decode from the local folder. The missing parts may show up later on the original news server. Sometimes some parts are delayed. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "Jim Bumgardner" wrote in message news:BcUZj.62$QW.23@trndny04... I use VLC for video player and it can rebuild the index to make the video viewable if it is possible.
