Default OE Preview for stationery not working as it should??

I am taking an online OE Stationery class teaching me to modify scripts and
the instructor has informed me that others have had the same problem I seem
to be having and she doesn't know what to do about it.

When creating stationery, for some reason the preview of it doesn't show the
moving graphics and yet when you send it and look at it is ok and all
graphics are there and operating as they should. It worked for me about two
weeks ago then I had to do a complete system recovery because of a hard
drive failure and with this new recovered computer I can't use the preview
to see my stationery before sending it...The instructor said to just send it
to myself but it saddens me that the preview is not working as it
should....could the software be damaged somehow???or missing an
update.....can OE be re-installed and just it and not all of windows???I am
very hopefufl that someone out there might know how to help or if they have
the same problem. Yolanda Martin........

Go to View | Source Edit in a new message. You will then have 3 tabs at the
bottom and you compose in Edit mode. Once you have finished composing, then
click on the Preview button and it should show the animation.

Also make sure OE is set to the Internet zone under Tools | Options |
Security and make sure you understand that when you open OE up like that,
you have to be careful screening messages that may contain trojans and such.

Yes, that is what I do except I edit the source using notepad....In the edit
tab of OE, the image is statically there, but in the preview it becomes a
little red box moving over the text which it should but it should be the
floating image resolved.....when I send the stationery it is just fine...it
is actually not a OE problem because when I open with IE directly the same
thing happens...I have looked at my IE options and nothing fixes this.???

In IE, Tools, Internet Options, Security tab, Custom level button, is Active
scripting enabled?

Could you post the code?

Default OE Preview for stationery not working as it should??

Problem now solved and here is what I did....there must be a bug in the
operational code released for windows updates because my windows xp has all
updates applied and there is no reason why this should have
happed.........copied and pasted from another email I sent to my stationery
coding instructor.......

I am so so elated that I don't have anything wrong with my computer
and that
for some reason the name of my folder was causing the problem and it
couldn't be seen to be debugged and I still don't know why or understand
that my merely changing the name of the folder from "Yo's Stationery" to
"mystationery" solved the
bug!! I am lucky to have tried this....it was just intuition that said that
may be a problem......It is really great to have the preview button work and
to be able to open the html with IE if I want and not to have to send to
myself to see what I have created as stationery!! I was really concerned
that these scripts and html code had damaged my computer software somehow!!
Maybe there is a bug in notepad because the problem causing name,Yo's
Stationery, should have been all
right and it is all right if you send it despite what you don't see in
preview??? Really mysterious and spooky but I have worked in computers and
with software all my life and that does sometime happen in software!
Strangely, a friend (Charlie) sent me a prayer and I got up at 4am this
morning having been unable to fall asleep all night long for thinking about
my computer, the class, and matters that I must attend to so I read the
prayer....it worked a miracle for me by fixing this bug!! I am truly amazed
and grateful.

Apparently, the ' in some code processing/parsing somewhere opening html
script code should be an " and that would have gone unnoticed????? so when
it reads Yo's Stationery it stopped and yet when you send the email the
stationery looks okay while it didn't in OE preview or a direct open with IE
locally as a test.

I tried reply to you but it was returned undeliverable.....is it generally
not possible to directly reply to the individual and necessary to always
reply to the group??? Again, I am new to newsgroups but find it a wonderful
source of info for learning about my computer.
