Thanx PA Bear! I will give that a try. It's funny, My desktop was using these
same settings sucessfully ever since Microsoft switched to the "live" thing and my notebook has been running these settings for six months. Thanx again! -Curtis- "PA Bear" wrote: Your settings for the account are incorrect. Two weeks ago I suddenly could no longer send email from Outlook Express. I use Outlook Express to manage my Comcast and MSN email. Both simultaneously stopped working. One account is on my desktop running Windows XP and the other is on my notebook running Vista and Windows Mail. Both have outgoing ports set for “25â€. Did Microsoft change the outgoing port? Is there a way around this? Below is the error message that I receive when trying to send email. Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'MSN Mail', Server: 'smtp.live.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): Yes, Socket Error: 10053, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F Thank you for any suggestions. -Curtis- |
